What did you study at Harvard?

I got my MBA at the Business School

Were you involved with any food or wine activities while a student?

I was a member of the Wine & Cuisine society and still remember tasting the 1982 Chateau Palmer on campus!  My now husband Scott actually checked me in for that event, although we wouldn’t officially meet for another year.

Do you think that Harvard has prepared you for a career in food and wine or hospitality in general? If so, how?

Yes, I think the MBA program was a helpful foundation. While there are many particular nuances unique to the wines business, I think the analytical process around pattern recognition and problem solving are useful tools I draw on everyday.

What work do you do now?

I’m a Co-Founder of GrtWines.com and also have a management consulting practice called In Vino Veritas focused on supporting wineries in their path to growth.  I also sit on the board of the Napa Valley Grapegrowers and VineView, a provider of aerial vineyard mapping technology.
