Lamberto Frescobaldi, President, Marchesi Frescobaldi
What did you study at Harvard?
I went to Harvard twice, my first time in 1981 Summer School, taking two corses one in micro-economy and another to refine my English . Then I went back to Harvard in 2004 for a 3 days Agribusiness Seminar led by Professor Ray Goldberg.
Were you involved with any food or wine activities while a student?
No I was not. I was only a good consumer….
Do you think that Harvard has prepared you for a career in food and wine or hospitality in general? If so, how?
Yes for sure Harvard stimulated my critical mind on approaching any business and specially to wine business. The class attended helped me to evaluate current and new businesses.
What work do you do now?
My studies led me to become involved in the management and in the wine production of the Frescobaldi family winery.
Presently I am the President of the Company having yet direct responsibilities on the quality of the wines. I spend lot of my time in studying how to grow the Company both with internal and external acquisition.
